Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service, April 2, 2026

Narrators for the service are Rita Sides and Dennis Yelvington.

Carillon Ringers will perform "The Power of the Cross" Getty/Townsend.

Chancel Choir will peform.

This will be a service of solemn, reflective worship combining the Last Supper's themes of love and betrayal with the gradual extinguishing of candles, to symbolize the fading light of Christ's life and his abandonment before the crucifixion. Stripping of the altar to symbolize the abandonment of Jesus by his disciples and the stripping by soldiers before the Crucifixion.

Communion will be given as to remember Jesus last supper.
